Great Books/Studies

Over the past several years I have read some pretty amazing books for women as well as some in depth studies.  They have played an important part in my personal growth.  Here are a few of my favorites:

*MOTHERS of INFLUENCE - Inspiring Stories of Women Who Made a Difference in Their Children and Their World.  Including the Mothers of:  Mother Teresa, C.S. Lewis, Billy Graham, Marting Luther King Jr., Condoleezza Rice, Laura Ingalls Wilder...and Many More.

*Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World - by Joanna Weaver - Finding Intimacy with God in the Busyness of Life.

*Esther - It's tough being a Woman - By Beth Moore -  Great Study about Esther and about women who are called for such a time as this.

*A Women's Heart: God's Dwelling Place - by Beth Moore- A fantastic and in depth study on the tabernacle and God's dwelling in us as believers.  I loved this one!

*To Live Is Christ: Joining Paul's Journey of Faith - By Beth Moore-  A great book on what Paul's background was and the life he came to know.

*So Long, Insecurity - by Beth Moore-  A wonderful book on the insecurities that cripple women and how God wants to set us free from them.

*Captivating - By John and Stasi Eldredge- Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul.   Absolutely amazing and life changing! I Will never be the same.  I actually did many blog writings about all I learned from this book.  God really used it to show me how women are made in His image and how much he has for me, a woman.

*Wild at Heart- By John Eldredge- Discovering the Secret of a Man's Soul.  Absolutely amazing book.  The men's version of Captivating =)  I found this helpful as a wife as well as a mommy of a little boy.  It really helped me to see why men are the way they are and what they need in life.  Men are also made in God's image and yet are designed very differently from women.  That is a good thing!

*Crazy Love!- By Francis Chan- Overwhelmed by a Relentless God.  This book left me standing in Awe of a great God!

*666 AND ALL THAT: The truth about the future- By John Dickson and Greg Clarke- This book was a breath of fresh air and left me with much more hope than I started with.  It is a fantastic read about the "end times", heaven, hell and God making all things new.  Absolutely transformed my ideas on these things.  I recommend it to anyone with questions concerning these issues.  Very sound!

*Choosing to SEE: A Journey of Struggle and Hope- by Mary Beth Chapman- This is a journey of a woman, wife and mom, her lose, pain and healing and choosing to see God's hand at work through it all.  If you've experienced a devastating lose, have questions about your hurt and long for healing, I recommend this book!  It is absolutely amazing the beautiful work God has done in this precious lady.
