Ways I see God...

I've been thinking so much about the beautiful things I see around me, the wonderful smells, the sounds of laughter, the embrace of a hug and really tasting as see how good God is.  I'm thankful for these senses I have been given.  That I can experience life in such away.  As I'm going about my day enjoying life as I know it, God is showing me how I can find Him in the small and big things.  That these senses He has given me are more than I ever knew.

This past weekend we were in California for Mario's graduation.  We were able to spend a morning walking along the beach and it was absolutely breath taking.  The ocean is ginormous! I'm just reminded that the God who made it, is even bigger and more awesome than that body of water.  While we were there, Mario and I spotted some dolphins and whales in the distance.  It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.  I'm grateful that I'm able to see the magnificent work of God's hand and that He allowed me to see this.

So I just went to Brayden's parent teacher conference and this was hanging in the hallway...
It says that he is Thankful for Jesus =)  Just another way that I can see God at work in the lives of my children!

God continues to remind me of His greatness in my everyday.  Each and everyday there is something amazing happening right before my eyes that shows me Him.  My kids just learned at VBS (Vacation Bible School) that God sightings are all around us.  So that's what I'm calling them now, GOD sightings.  Here are a few lovely pictures I've taken over the past two weeks.

Today Mario had the day off so we packed a picnic lunch and headed up the canyon.  I often feel like why don't we enjoy this beauty more often when it really is only a 25 min drive from where we live?  It's because we take it for granted.  I'm grateful that today we did go and enjoyed the beauty of such and amazing creation.
We ended up hiking Donut Falls.  It was so nice and cool and absolutely gorgeous!
These are some little flowers that we saw along the way.

Tonight Mario and I celebrated 9 years of marriage with a romantic picnic and walk through the park.  As if the beauty of the park itself (a rushing river, ducklings, huge trees and a soft cool breeze) wasn't enough, we looked up to see a bright beautiful rainbow.  It is a  clear reminder of God's faithfulness to promises.  I love that!  It also brings back wonderful memories as a little girl sitting in the rain adoring those bright beautiful colors.  I didn't know it at the time but God was wooing me by His glorious creation.  God is amazing!

Early this morning as I was driving home I was taken back by the beautiful morning sky.  It was just before sunrise and the clouds were pink and orange with the back drop of the beautiful Rocky Mtns.  I had to take some pictures to capture the beauty.

A little snow on those mountain peaks
